1.1. In accordance with the Telecommunications and Information Technology Law (the Law), its Bylaw, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) Regulations, and the powers it includes for the CST, including those related to the regulation of telecommunication services, and in accordance with the development of telecommunications markets in the Kingdom and the best practices of other countries; CST issues the Regulation for Registration of Telecommunication Space Stations document for the purpose of registering telecommunication space station capacity providers.
3.1. This document applies to all telecommunication space station providers who provide their capacity over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the areas comprising the land, internal waters, territorial sea and zones over which the Kingdom exercises sovereignty and jurisdiction in accordance with international law, and the airspace above them.
7.1. The incorporation on the registry and updating any information is free of charges or fees.
8.1. The registry is not limited by a specific duration. However, all registered telecommunication space station capacity providers must update the registry in case of any amendments or upon CST request, and must notify CST if the telecommunication space station is replaced or its lifespan is expired.
