ProjTitle.icon The Laws and Regulations Support Unit

​The Council of Ministers Resolution No. (476), issued on March 10, 2020, stated that the National ​Competitiveness Center should establish a (Laws and Regulations Support Unit) within the Center to have among its tasks the following:

 

  1. Establishing and supervising the unified electronic platform to receive the feedback of the public and government entities.
  2. Preparing consultation forms, evaluating the effects, and circulating them to government entities.
  3. Providing feedback about the public consultation results to the draft laws owners if they request it.
  4. Preparing and organizing working sessions, training courses, meetings, seminars, and conferences specialized in the unit's field of work.
  5. Communicating with government entities to introduce the unit, its objectives, and its services.
  6. Raising awareness and spreading the culture of public consultation, and how people need to participate and give feedback on draft laws.
  7. Signing memoranda of cooperation with relevant government and the private sector to exchange experiences and enhance the concept of public consultation.​
