6. Radio Frequency Bands Identified for PMSE Applications

6-1 It is mandatory to obtain a license from CST prior to using the radio frequency spectrum for the following wireless applications, which are utilized in the events, as specified in Annex (11) for the Identified frequency bands for each:

6-1-1 Audio devices: Such as microphones, in-ear monitors (IEM), audio links, and the talkback communication system.

6-1-2 Video devices: such as video data links.

6-1-3 Remote control links for PMSE applications.

6-2 The use of the frequency bands (617-652) MHz and (663-698) MHz for PMSE applications is prohibited.

6-3 The provision of Private Mobile Radio (PMR) services at events is limited to service providers licensed by the CST to offer those services. CST may consider licensing the use of the radio frequency spectrum for these uses if it is not feasible to provide such services through licensed service providers.

6-4 Short Range Devices (SRD), Ultra-Wideband (UWB) devices, and Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) devices used for PMSE applications do not require a radio frequency spectrum usage license, provided they comply with the technical specifications issued by CST.

• Question 2: Are the frequency bands and the output power limits specified in the annex compatible with the needs of PMSE applications?

• Question 3: Do you have any other PMSE applications used at events that have not been covered or in the annex?

• Question 4: Is the licensing mechanism stipulated in this document, based on usage duration and location, compatible with the needs of PMSE applications?

• Question 5: Do you have any suggestions for new frequency bands that should be considered either currently or in the future?

• Question 6: Do you find it appropriate to exempt any of the uses listed in the annex from licensing? If so, what are these frequency bands and uses, and why?

• Question 7: Do you support making the frequency band (617-698 MHz) or part of it (e.g., the band (653-662 MHz)) available for PMSE applications? What are the technical specifications of the equipment used for this purpose?

• Question 8: What are your views on the use of the European standard ERC/REC/70-03 in PMSE applications?
