5-1 CST may repurpose unused bands for the provision of content through other platforms to enable the rollout of new technologies and thus contribute to better digital content delivery in the future.
8-1 The use of spectrum based on a Frequency Usage License is subject to annual Frequency Usage Fees, calculated pursuant to the provisions of the document “Frequency Usage Fees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, available on CST’s website.
9-1 CST has the right to conduct electromagnetic compatibility analysis of broadcasting services devices and may seek the assistance of an external party to perform the analysis as needed. The objective of the electromagnetic compatibility analysis is to ensure that the devices comply with the technical conditions associated with the license application and to examine the possibility of any radio interference affecting current licensees. CST has the right to reject the license application when such interference is demonstrated, and it may propose alternative frequencies or alternative technical conditions.
10-1 CST has the right, at its absolute discretion, to request data related to the operation of radio service stations from licensees, and licensees must provide all required data. CST will treat the submitted data in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
11-1 "TV White Space" ("TVWS") refers to locations in the spectrum between those used by high power broadcast TV stations, which can be used for low power services. The availability of TVWS spectrum varies within the band and the geographic location, so careful planning and coordination is required.
11-2 CST allows “White Space Devices” (“WSDs”) to utilise the unused parts of the radio spectrum in the 470 to 614 MHz frequency band, at a particular location and time, on a shared basis, subject to ensuring that a low probability of harmful interference with other spectrum users in the band concerned or those adjacent to it. The license to use the frequencies shall be in accordance with the provisions of the light licensing document.
